Malaysia requires more people to voice out and stand in the front line. No more hiding behind their comfort zone and wait for changes to come. We ought to do it NOW! Peace to all mankind.

Vandalism - To release frustration

I witness a vandalism around my housing area. This "not so gentleman" whacked the pad lock, tore the banner away from the barricade, then wrote on the steel board. I managed to capture it on Video. A lady came upfront and talked to him. Well, his anger still at large...

This narrow road was initially close when the residents shifted in. It was some irresponsible maggot who does not live here that open it up for their own convenience. Anyway, it has become one of the busiest road. Not to mention the accidents that had occur.

I have to admit that the surrounding exits are limited and residents of this area are furious. How about the residents who have to bear with the noise pollution? The sound of Honk and break, the hurl, the shouting, and also the JAMS!

This is just a residential area, not HIGHWAY! Sigh. Who causes all this? Damn the Previous Councilor who approved without proper consideration and plan for the future. Big Sigh indeed. (I have high hope for the current councilor to do a better job. Do not disappoint me!) PJ is catching up with KL. High rise building and jams will soon be a numb factor. It will fade away like history. Sooner or later, my voice will fade away too...

A funeral not to be forgotten

In a funeral procession, we normally have relatives and friends to accompany the deceased for their last round on earth. It is a peaceful gathering to remember the person lives.

I have attended few funeral services and nothing untoward happen. It is a family business/matter and other unrelated parties are not suppose to interfere in it.

Now, I wonder why Malaysia's FRU are not giving the deceased a break. Kugan's case ring a bell? The FRU did not respect the late Kugan's family. Their presence at the funeral gives them a bad reputation.

Humanity? Nope.
Respect? Nope.
Mesra? Nope.

Anil has the report.

Ipoh-dise too much

Ipoh is a beautiful town, no?

My father was raised in this small town then. He left Ipoh and made PJ his nest. The tranquility and slow pace of life no longer exist in Ipoh. I am quite amaze with the pace Ipohrian have and more or less like KL/PJ folks.

Perhaps, some of those cars on the road may be from KL/PJ or JB/SG.

Cars JAMMED UP all the main road near my relative house. Worst than previous years. Ipoh town council need to find ways to counter this problem before it becomes a "not so good town to live in".

Food wise, still very much the best in Malaysia. Not forgetting Penang as well :) However, some food traders chose to retire and migrate with their great food and I will miss it badly.

Something refreshing I that have seen here. It was during an early morning breakfast that my family and I had at a Restaurant. I saw Perak MB YAB Mohammad Nizar portrait on the wall. That is something nice. Last year, (Election was after CNY) I have no idea who the heck is the Perak MB. LoL! Talk about ignorance.

However, Pak Lah Picture is still there, Najib no where to be seen. Ouch! :D

That's all for today. Still in the celebration mood :)

21 Vigilers set free for the moment ONLY!

21 Anti ISA Vigil attendee who were charged on illegal assembly have been bailed out with RM1500 fine. Next court date: 10 March (Tuesday). (My initial post was incorrect as I thought it would settle with the fine. Didn't know that IT was just a bail only! Banana!)

It is really ridiculous with the court to decide later on. Initially, I thought it will be settle in a day and the RAKYAT will have peace. The delay make us more motivated to take them down SOON! You know who you are!!

See the main door to the court room?
Got police guarding it!! Hebat leh our 21 Vigilers?

President Obama Inauguration Speech in TEXT

After I listened to President Obama speech during his installment as 44th US President, there are few phrases which I find it inspiring to share with you.

  • America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents. So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.

    • Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met.

  • We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

    • Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted — for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things — some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.

    • For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.

  • For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.

    • For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.

  • Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

    • The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account — to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day — because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

  • For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

    • To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West — know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

  • To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.

    • For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies. It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter's courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent's willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.

  • This is the source of our confidence— the knowledge that God calls on us to shape an uncertain destiny.
Credit must be GIVEN to The Associated Press. Thanks MSNBC for carrying it out LIVE and provide the text above. Friends who would like to read the COMPLETE text can do so here.

For those who want to view the video, click HERE.

My opinion: Wonderful. It is a serious speech as compare to his winning speech. Yes, its good that he touched on peace and uniting everyone around the world. Read for your self and reflect on it.

I also want to extend my thought to Malaysia's Government with what President Obama said: To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history...

Get it? You are on the wrong side of the History..

May his words inspire all of us to change!

NO FRIENDSHIPS

Yes, really no life without all this.

Police, I believed you are monitoring the bloggers. I wanna ask, what is your responsibility? To protect Malaysians from being harm, or to work for the VIP only? You have been ordered like a moron without your own integrity. What is your principle? What happen to your motto of Mesra, Cepat, Betul?

Mesra- Kononnya Mesra bila bertemu VIP, tetapi kasar sangat Dengan Rakyat Jelata ni?

Well, I really fed up. If any CPO/IGP/the police department who want to SUE my arse off, come on. I do not give a damn. I am being tolerant enough. My house was broken into for 4 times. Yet, until now there have not been any action taken to protect my housing areas. Not to mention the harm that my relatives and I got, and the list is long enough to wrap their A$$ off my face.

Good Police men and women, if you still want to save your face and career, TUMBANGKAN those who are SHITTY and clean up the mess inside your department. BOCOR their RAHSIA. Let them take the responsibility. The people are asking for your help to SAVE Malaysia. We need a safer place.

For a Better Malaysia!

FAS field to be replace by Office lot?

Taken some time back when there was a protest over the FAS decision to take away the field and put more bricks.

Pretty busy or ignorant, I just noticed this board when I was walking to a bus station near my housing area. So, it is confirm that the piece of land owned by F.A.S. will be demolish and we will see more building around our residential area.

Gary highlighted it on this blog regarding FAS decision to take away the field.

I am wondering whether the residential association highlight this matter to the MBPJ to stop work on this land. It is just too many building surrounding our residential area. Stop it before our traffic get even worst.

Foot note: FAS stands for Football Association Selangor.

Landslide at Bukit Kanada, Miri - The Sun

Landslide occur at Miri, Sarawak. I read it at The Sun.

I heard of Bukit Kanada before. Heard it was quite nice to have a jungle trekking there. But with this situation, I do not know whether it would be good to trek it.

~~~~~~~~~~~
The residents of 10 houses on the eastern slope of Bukit Kanada near here have been directed to move out of their homes immediately following a landslide in the area.
Sarawak Disaster Relief and Management Committee chairman Tan Sri Dr George Chan issued the evacuation order, saying it was too dangerous for the occupants to remain there as rain was expected to fall until Monday.
Several members of the committee found that three of the 10 houses in the vicinity in Kampung Pujut Tanjung Batu were in a precarious situation, he said, adding that the committee had opened an evacuation centre at the Red Crescent Society building here.
Dr Chan advised the residents of settlements near Bukit Kanada to be prepared to move out if necessary.
A landslide on the western slope of Bukit Kanada buried alive two Indonesian workers at a nearby petrol station at 1.10am today. Their bodies were recovered between 1pm and 2pm this afternoon. Dr Chan, who is the state assemblyman for Piasau here, visited the scene of the landslide soon after his arrival from Kuching this afternoon. — BERNAMA
Affected by the world
Yes, I am affected by what is happening at the moment.
Gaza & Israel - End it now! Hurting and killing people will not solve any problem. UN, Thanks for looking into it. I want to stress that some of the Americans may NOT support what their Government is doing. Therefore, we shall not say that US is doing a destruction on the affected country. This would be unfair to those who oppose it. The Americans elected B.Obama to stop it.
Racist Moron - I hate to repeat. Your blood and my blood are just the same in colour. Why do we need to differentiate each other skin colours? Why is it hard to see the good of others? Remember when there were peoples who need a heart, kidney and cataract? All our body parts do not see what is our skin colour. It fit inside our body. Look into each other inner self. Look for the positive side. I know human have flaws, but we need to learn how to appreciate each other, how to accept each other. Get rid of our negative thoughts and start moving forward.
Misleading our Children- CHILDREN IS OUR FUTURE HOPE. If we guide them in the wrong path, they will be screw up. We should start them from young to love each other whom are different from us. Let not the differences separate us, but bring us together and enjoy the uniqueness of each other culture. Food is something we can start on. :D
KT By Election- Some how, I am not following much. Just read of how the people over there are living from bloggers. Sad state even they have oils.
Religion- I do not want to comment on this. Just let him/her to deal with the Almighty when their time is up. Each of us will be judge with what we do on earth. Its after all a personal matter.
MPs- Start doing your job. Do not throw RUBBISH news everywhere. The medias are very happy with your stories. To those who are doing a your job, I salute you.
Hindraf and Government- As I listened to national TV news, I read on the bottom news bar stated that HINDRAF is putting Malaysia to shame with their remark oversea. Ok, as much as I do not like it.. The Government? Some time YOU say something that have no Common Sense. So, what is that? Not putting Malaysian to shame? Do I need to show you? Go for Google and Youtube.
Friends, be civil minded. Inject some common sense. (How I wish I can inject Common sense and civil minded in MALAYSIANS and we will be a GREAT COUNTRY!) Malaysia BOLEH!
< Ambil - Tolak - Pangkah > Kenapa Pemilih KT Harus Berbuat demikian
AMBIL Wang Ehsan, TOLAK parti yang tidak membantu apabila bantuan diperlukan, dan akhirnya PANGKAH di tepi BULAN.
Kalau nak pilih penimbang dan BULAN...
Wahai Penduduk KT... Saya rasa penimbang era ini tidak begitu baik. Sebab Penimbang ni selalu rosak aje. Lagipun, bagi orang yang mempunyai kedai runcit, peniaga tersebut harus memperbaharui lisen penimbangnya. Banyak kerja. Kadang-kadang ia pun tak tepat. Lebih baik pilih BULAN yang mane ia boleh menerangi malam kita yang gelap. Dah lah gelap selalu. Biarlah malam kita ni terang sikit :)
10% is crucial for KT folks!!
As I read in YB Teresa Kok's blog, she stated that "More than 10 per cent of the Chinese voters live out of state, and a large number live in other towns in Kuala Terengganu."
I must say that not only 10% of Chinese voters there, perhaps 20% of the KT younger generation of any race is not living there. They SHOULD go back and kick some @$$ with their votes. Remember, your one vote will determine a better tomorrow.
How do you feel when you know that you can kick some butt and give some lesson to those who deserve it? Your choice. Do not let us down. The WORLD is watching over you.
"Calon BN telah ambil risiko yang tinggi sebab kalau tidak menang, beliau kehilangan kedudukan di Dewan Negara dan kedudukan sebagai timbalan menteri di samping tidak boleh nak dapatkan semula jawatan setiausaha politik (kepada Abdullah). Taken from Malaysiakini.
Wow... His bet is big! Do you need to bet until like that? It reminds me of Hong Kong mafia where they usually threaten the person to bet everything from monies, homes, people and etc. He is serious...
Perhaps we shall give him the quote from Batman's Dark Knight where Joker said: Why Soooooo serioussssss......
Btw, I do not encourage any JUDI HARAM here K... Just a post for entertainment.
Is it worth the bet? For now, I am looking forward to election day. Friends who know me will know my pick. :D
155 NS Down with Food Poisoning
Read here. The star online.
I've been to a NS camp site and I know how terrible is the food. (Perhaps some are good. I do now know. Enlighten me please.) On health and clean wise, I doubt there is any measure taken for the sake of the trainees. If such measure is taken, this would not even happen. Some time the operator just do not care a damn of those who consume their food. Too many hassle? Then do not cook. Do not do business. Quality control is never taken seriously by some people.
Government kept on assuring parents that their children will be safe. Look at what that had happen... Time to do something about it.
3.8 Magnitude earthquake shakes Lahad Datu, Sabah
It was reported on TV3 this evening. Happened at 10.03pm. No further information on how is the current situation over there.
Bernama has the update.
I like Sabah. Just hope the people over there are fine.
Malaysia can no longer escape from earthquake. Is about time we think of ways to protect our self.
Buy Malaysian campaign - Belilah Barang2 Malaysia
“We may have overlooked some local products in the past, but we do produce goods of high quality,” Datuk Shahrir Samad said. To read the full article, click here.
I want to ask this fella go and check his home appliances. Is it all from Malaysia or from US, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, Britain and etc... I can bet with you; more than half is from oversea!
Hey, we never overlook! Just that some of the product is not up to the standard. But still, we purchase because it is much lower in price.
How can I be so daring to make this bet?
Well, we can be assure that Malaysia's product quality is way much lower than other country. Our quality isn't that good.. Just be frank. OK, I must say that some are good. That would fall under the FOOD CATEGORY. The biscuit? Yes. Its delicious. Especially the one that got the SUPER BRAND! Mineral water? Spritzer? Ice cream?
How about i Brand? Not yet reach the standard international level.
What else? Oh by the way, on food wise, those Made In China products are BANNED from my list of food selection.
Honestly, I do not see the effectiveness of this campaign.
Saya beli barang-barang Malaysia semenjak I kecil. Streamyx tu Jenama Malaysia. Proton tu Jenama Malaysia. (Kononnya ade orang yang cakap bahawa Proton tu sangat HIGH MAINTENANCE. Mahal kalao nak baiki. Belilah BMW tu yang Qualitinya Baik...) Eh, I ni tengah pakai Proton Kay!!! Tak lah Mahal, cuma complain I yang Ia tak boleh pecut cepat!!! :p
Setiap hari kita beli barang-barang buatan tempatan. Kenapa perlulah kempen ini yang akan membazir wang untuk mencetak kertas kempen, buat promosi, dan lain lain lagi. Apa yang ingin dicapai oleh dia ni?
Setiap hari aku baca berita yang tidak munasabah. Semakin hari semakin tak tentu arah. Dahlah ekonomi kita ni diperlahankan oleh Ekonomi Dunia, kerajaan pula tak bantu banyak. Cakap aje banyak! Kita ni tinggal di Malaysia, mestilah beli barang Malaysia !!!!
Otak dia ni kena di ketuk sikit!!
3 Candidates, one winner!
(From left) PAS' Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut, Barisan Nasional's Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh and Independent Azharudin Mamat alias Adam will be contesting in the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat by-election.
You either choose the person on your right or the left ones. Sorry, we do not encourage you to take on the middle one. After all, I am sure you don't want the majority of the people showing you the middle finger?
Er, can some one tell me is the weight measurer coming down for good? :)
Not again? Another lame strategy
Roads resurfaced ahead of crucial by-election - Taken from malaysiakini
You can tell an election is around the corner when you see steamrollers and tar-laden trucks descending into your area. The Kuala Terengganu by-election this month is no exception.
Over the past two weeks, as if on cue, they poured into the streets of Kuala Terengganu, resurfacing key roads in the city of 300,000.
*Roads tarred less than a year ago
*Concerns over 7,000 extra cops
~~~~~~~~~~

Some political party can be very very lame. Their strategies have not change and I doubt the mind of the people who plan it. How to fight with modern technology? It came to my mind about what Pastor was sharing last Sunday. He went to Sarawak for mission trip. He visited one of the long house. He saw many people gather in a circle and look at something. He go nearer and saw a laptop and everyone is glued to the screen. They are actually hearing Anwar Ibrahim speeches via youtube or something like that. So, you think people are left behind the IT era? Think twice! Never under estimate the older generation and also the tech savvy younger folk. We are changing. Some just stuck to their old ways. Never learn. Let it be. :)

Ridiculous Higher Education Ministry!

Ministry to woo foreign students- Taken from thestar

JOHOR BARU: The Higher Education Ministry is drawing up strategies to attract more students from Africa and the Middle East to study in Malaysia.

“Malaysia houses not only institutions of higher learning established by locals, but also many campuses set up by other international institutions here,” Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin told a press conference in Plentong yesterday.

“With 41 private and 20 public institutions in the country, we are in a good position to attract them,” he said. Khaled said the ministry would ensure the institutions’ policies and the disciplines offered were of international standard.

He said that organisations like the Malaysian Qualification Agency and Malaysia Medical Council would ensure the quality of education provided by the institutions remained high.

“We have also requested all the private institutions to participate in the rating programme (for institutions of higher learning),” he said.He said Africa and the Middle East were huge potential markets with 43 million people having qualified for tertiary education.

The 60,000 foreign students currently studying here were also working on recruiting more students from their home countries, he added.

CRAP! With so many form 6 leavers cannot get entry into University, they are now offering other country's citizen the opportunity to study in Malaysia. You have not solve the needs of Malaysians, yet you are now helping others.

Previously, you requested for Malaysians who are working out side of Malaysia to come back and help Malaysia progress. Look at the way you deal with things, you are not even helping to maintain Malaysian who work here. Disappointed.

How those of good qualities Malaysian could stay back and help Malaysia when their own country is not helping them? What a good way to shoo away Malaysian in the beginning of the year.

Pendidikan kita masih perlu diperbaiki. Demi Kebaikan anak-anak muda kita, bagilah peluang untuk mereka maju ke depan demi Malaysia. Harap ia dapat membuka minda pejuang bahasa.

What to expect for 2009?

More development?
Or more stop order?
Or more left behind / incomplete building structures?
The Paradigm ^

More expensive milk powder? More security? ^ Look at the price!!! RM45-100!! And also the security alert detection... in red circle.

Or may be we need more Lee Kuan Yew's kind of person in Malaysia? (FYI, my father named me after him. His Last name. Sad to say, I do not have any similarity with him. If not, I can be a PM for all. :D )

Perhaps we can be nature lover who live in village and enjoy the sunset. ^ Taken at Kuala Selangor riverside seafood restaurant.

Lastly, we can enjoy some home made tea. Cut cost, DIY at home :) You can refill as much as you want with no extra cost. Good idea? (FYI, the tea you are looking at the moment is my daily addiction.)

Have a great 2009!
